Today, we celebrate March 8 as we show the world that together we ALL matter. This year's International Women's Day is celebrated under the theme “For ALL Women and Girls: Rights. Equality. Empowerment.”
Team Chilanchil invites all Afro-feminists to come together to engage our media, community leaders, civil society, youth, and all those with influence in our communities. It is crucial that we ask our leaders to take action and invest in promoting women’s rights and gender equality, including the rights of LBQT women, who also deserve recognition and support despite the extreme discrimination and stigma that emanates from hatred.
Together, we can amplify our voices, spark dialogue, inspire action, and create a movement that drives meaningful change.
